Long gone are the days when a robot vacuum cleaner was something only the richest could afford. Now some options come under the price tag of $150 and they also get the job done. But if you are looking for something that truly delivers what it promises, the Roborock e35 is what you need. It manages to stay under a lower price tag than the best robot vacuum cleaners yet delivers features that compete with them.

The Roborock e35 is well known for its high suction power, and the robot also doubles as a mop cleaner. So let’s see what the Roborock e35 has to offer.

Setup

You will face no problems setting up the Roborock e35. After taking out everything from the box, keep the Roborock e35 in its charging dock so it can ready for cleaning. While it charges up, proceed to the store and download the Mi Home app. If you are having trouble finding the app on the store, you can also scan the QR code, which can be found on the setup guide. So in about 15 minutes, you will be done with the setup.

Design

The Roborock e35 measures about 13.9 x 13.8 x 3.6 inches and comes with a 5200 mAh battery which will give you about 2.5 hours of cleaning time which is quite a lot. The Roborock e35 weighs about 6.5 pounds and has a dustbin with a capacity of 0.64-litre.

One of the things that put the Roborock above other robot vacuums is its powerful suction. You get a maximum suction of 2000Pa which can be controlled by three different levels; silent, normal, and strong.

The Roborock also comes with a mopping module which includes a water tank and cloth. Just like a conventional robotic vacuum cleaner, it helps clean the debris. You also get a waterproof pad which makes sure residual water doesn’t drip on your floor when the robot is at its dock.

Xiaowa Roborock e35 Aesthetics

As soon as you look at the Roborock e35, you will see how clean and modern it looks. Roborock has decided to go a little different than the traditional all-black color scheme you see on most robots. The Roborock e35 instead comes colored in charcoal grey which gives off a nice finish to the robot. When looking at it from the top, you will appreciate Roborock e35’s minimal design.

Doesn’t get stuck

Robot vacuums are made so you can take a break from cleaning yourself but what good they would be if they kept on calling you because they are stuck. This is an annoying problem that plagues many robot vacuums, as you have to get them when they get stuck on other objects. The Roborock e35, on the other hand, is pretty good and stays unstuck and maneuvers its way around the house.

Silent cleaning

Another great thing about the Roborock e35 is that it’s quiet when it’s cleaning your home. The noise also depends on what cleaning mode the vacuum is set in, with the higher modes using more power and therefore producing more noise.

Instead of a beep or another alert sound, the Roborock comes with a programmed voice that calls to you whenever the robot is stuck or has finished its job. Moreover, this programmed voice can be adjusted through the app, so the robot keeps quiet when you want it to.

Performance

The Roborock e35 can clean a large area with relatively quick speed, cleaning our 14000 square feet home in about 135 minutes which is impressive when compared to other robots in the same category.

The Z-shape pattern followed by the Roborock e35 also makes sure your floors stay clean. Before beginning the actual cleaning, the Roborock will first cover the area in straight lines. When it has finished vacuuming the area once, it then goes around the perimeter.

One more thing which not only preserves battery but also keeps the noise of the Roborock e35 down is how the robot will adjust suction based on what type of material it is vacuuming on. The powerful suction also pays off as the Roborock e35 will pick up a large amount of dirt, hair, or dust with ease.

MOPPING ABILITY

To get into mopping mode on the Roborock e35, you will need to take out the bin and replace it with the water tank that came with the Roborock. You also should connect the detachable pad.

You can reply on the Roborock to mop up your floors good enough, but it does leave out stains that are particularly hard to remove. So you will have to mop time to time manually.

Pros

  • Quiet
  • Fast
  • Has mopping ability

Cons

  • No included virtual wall

Conclusion

The Roborock e35 will be able to mop as well as vacuum your floors, call to you in its programmed voice when the cleaning is done, and travels back to its dock to charge. You also get a nice app that lets you control a wide range of stuff. Overall, the Roborock e35 is good for people looking for a top-notch robot vacuum which doesn’t break the bank.
